Achilles has many ideals and values.  He was most known for his pursuit of excellence.  That was not hard for him to do because Achilles was invincible from birth.  He had justice as he fought for the Greeks against the Trojan's in the Trojan war.  He was said to be the most handsome Greek warrior.


Stories of Achilles

His most famous story was definitely the the Trojan War.   Achilles  was the most handsome, swiftest, strongest, and the bravest out of all of the Greeks that fought in the Trojan War.  His mother knew that if he went and fought in the Trojan War he would die sooner but if he stayed behind he would live a longer life.  Thetis (Achilles mom) tried to hide Achilles as a girl.  When they found out he was a boy he happily joined the army.  He was blessed by the god's with many gifts in the war.  In the war he avenged his friend Patroclus's death by killing Hector the man who killed Patrpclus.  Hector's brother Paris avenged his death by shooting Achilles in the heel and killing him.  Before his birth his parent's wedding started the Trojan war.

Who was associated with Achilles?

Not many people came into Achilles's life, but one that did was Thetis.  Thetis was associated with Achilles because Thetis was Achilles's mom.  After Achilles's birth Thetis bathed Achilles in the river styx.  Cheiron.  Cheiron raised Achilles and tought him how to fight super good.  Hector.  Hector was killed by Achilles to avenge Achilles's friend's death.  After Achilles killed Hector, Hector's brother Paris avenged his brother's death by shooting Achilles in the heel and killing him.

What powers or talent does Achilles have?

Achilles was a very skilled man.  He had many talents and a one or two powers.  One power that Achilles did have was he was very strong.  He was the best fighter in all of the Trojan war.  The other power that Achilles had was he was invincible.  After his birth, his mom dipped him in the river styx.  Achilles had very good stamina, he was amazing with swords, he could use sheilds well, and he was a very skilled fighter.

Tools & Symbols

The thing that would be Achilles's symbol would be the shield.  The shield is what Achilles used to fight Hector to avenge his friend's death which eventually lead Achilles to his own death.  The tool that Achilles always used was a sword.  He used it in battles and carried it everywhere he went.  The shield was the other tool that he used besides the sword.

Achilles's Life

Before Achilles was born, it was predicted that the son of Thetis would be greater than their dad, resulting in Poseiden and Zeus backing off Thetis.  Right after Achilles was born his mother Thetis brought him to the underworld to dip him in the river styx.  This made him invincible everywhere except for in the heels.  When they started recruiting for soldiers for the Trojan war Thetis tried to hide Achilles as a girl.   When they found out that he as a  boy  he happily joined the army.  Well fighting in the Trojan war Achilles avenged his friend's  death by killing Hector.  After he killed Hector he dragged his body around the gates of Troy 3  times.  Well Achilles was fighting Paris (Hector's brother) shot Achilles in the heel.  Achilles started to die.  He killed many Trojan's well he was dying.

What Achilles accomplished

Achilles accomplished many things in his life.  Probably the biggest thing that Achilles accomplished was leading the Greeks to victory against the Trojans in the Trojan war.  He was the  best warrior for the Greeks in the War of Troy.  He accomplished being the greatest Greek warrior ever.  He was the greatest Greek warrior because he was fast, strong, handsome, devoted, and very, very brave.  In the movie Troy, Brad Pitt plays Achilles.

Modern Day Illusions

There is one modern day illusion that refers to Achilles, the achilles tendon of course!  When they say your achilles tendon, that is your heel.  They say this because that was Achilles's only weak spot and that is how he died.  It the movie Troy,  Brad Pitt plays Achilles.
